The Holiday Resort Cheile Butii is located at the Southern entrance gate to the Retezat National Park, biosphere natural reservation and one of the most beautiful protected areas in Europe.

Situated at an altitude of 900 m, in the proximity of Cheile Butii Gorges and the national road 66 A(under construction) which will link the city of Petrosani to Baile Herculane Resort, our location is the first stop on the most popular route of access from the southern side of the Park: Cheile Butii-Buta Chalet-Bucura Lake- Peleaga Peak- Pietrele Chalet.
